I’ve been growing, wild harvesting, studying and using medicinal plants for about 15 years now. I graduated from Body Mind College and the Natural Healing Institute, both in San Diego, California, where I studied holistic health focusing on massage therapy and herbal medicine. We focused on European herbalism, and Southwestern herbs used in Native American medicine. I lived in Japan for 11 years, where I learned about traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine, and enjoyed mixing plants and ideas from both Eastern and Western practices to suit each of my clients.
In Japan, I opened the Natural Healing Studio, a small holistic health clinic with an herb garden. I offered massage, herbal medicine consultations, a fully stocked herbal cabinet filled with both Eastern and Western herbs, many of which I grew or harvested from the mountains and rivers myself.
I taught holistic health workshops at the Studio and led classes about children’s and adult health at venues and schools all over Japan.
After the Fukushima Nuclear accident, my husband and I moved away from Sendai, Japan to Maui, where we are raising our daughter and I continue my work with herbs and medicinal plants.
I hope I can be a part of your journey to live a healthy, vibrant life at 120% of your potential.
